Ciara Castro is a Texas-born dancer, national battle champion, and pioneer of performance-based shuffling in the U.S. With roots in sports, band, and collegiate and professional cheer, she developed her musical ear and athletic discipline long before discovering shuffle culture through the rave scene—where everything clicked. She’s been immersed in every layer of the shuffle world—battles, performance, choreography, education, and community building—and has helped shape the modern U.S. performance aesthetic, including a distinctive go-go–influenced shuffle style. There isn’t an artist she hasn’t danced for. Ciara holds a residency at The Concourse Project in Austin, leads the Shuffle Team, and is the founder of Shuffle HQ, a dance and fitness studio and global training platform in Austin, Texas. Her philosophy is rooted in strong technical foundation and discipline, flourishing through artistic freedom and a deep understanding of music and expression.
